SHE HULK – should women lift weights ???

“no, don’t lift weights…. You will become broad like a man” said one female gym goer to another female….. How many times have you heard one woman saying this to another ??? and just thought to yourself damn when will women understand it doesn’t work like that ??

Every gym has both male and female members. Males are mostly in the weights section busting their ass and women the beautiful creatures are mostly seen in the cardio section. You will seldom spot a female in weight section and if she is there she will make sure she picks up the lightest weight in the whole gym in order not to get too big and just have a toned up body. But what the beautiful creatures don’t understand is cardio will make you lose fat for sure but just plain cardio wont give u an athletic beach bikini model hot as a sizzler body ( basically a head turner on the street )

Ladies if you think lifting heavy weights will make you as broad as us men. Don’t stress both male and female bodies have different mechanism and different hormone levels. Estrogen ( female hormone ) and testosterone ( male hormone ) are both present in both female and male bodies but in different ratios. The different ratio of the hormones help us to distinguish a male from a female. Testosterone is in excess in males and less in females whereas estrogen is in excess in females and less in males.

It’s the testosterone in males which make them broad, muscular, have a heavy voice etc. Same testosterone in a female body is in the 1/10th of the ratio as compared to a male body of same age. And thus women are not broad bulky muscular as men ever until they use testosterone boosting supplements or steroids. Naturally its impossible for woman to be as hard and big as a man no matter how heavy she trains. Heavy weight lifting will only give a woman an athletic beach body.

Be it a male or a female cardio training accompanied with weight training will always give you a better and fitter physique  aesthetically, physically and mentally. And obviously something better than what plain cardio training will give you.

Being a fitness enthusiast for some years now I have seen some women going heavy on squats and bench press in the gyms, in the social media but never ever such woman I have seen become manly until unless they do some hormone therapy. Weight training has its own positive effects on a female body. If you are a female and you need a good athletic body you need to lift beyond those three-pound weights. As to have that athletic body you will have to have a low body fat and need to put on some muscle for definition and to put on muscle you need to train heavy.

If you still are not sold to the idea of lifting weights look at the benefits of weight lifting for a female body.

1 – Burn more fat

When you do heavy weight training your body looses more fat as your metabolism stays high for a long time even after training so your body keeps burning fat even when one is resting. Whereas your body stops burning fat after a short while when you just stick to cardio.

2 – Stronger without bulking

Women think weight training will give them muscles and make them strong. Weight training will give you muscles but you will never wake up with a manly body. As females have 1/10th of testosterone levels so women will have a strong muscular body but never a bulky manly body.

3 –  Decrease Risk of Osteoporosis

Weight training not only strengthens the muscles, it strengthens bones. Weight training increases bone density, which reduces the risk of fractures and broken bones.

4 – Reduce risk of injury

Weight training also increases strength in connective tissues and joints. Strong joints, ligaments, and tendons are important to prevent injury and can relieve pain from osteoarthritis.

5 – Improve Posture and Reduce Back Pain

Weight-training will strengthen your back, shoulders, and core, helping to correct bad posture so that you can stand taller, with shoulders back and spine straight. A stronger back and core will also prevent lower back pain

6 – Enhance Mood and Reduce Stress

Exercise and weight-training release endorphins. Endorphins are neurotransmitters that prevent pain, improve mood, and fight depression. An increased in endorphins naturally reduces stress and anxiety. Endorphins also stimulate the mind, improving alertness and boosting energy. Weight-training can brighten your entire day or help you combat a bad one.

7 – QUALITY SLEEP

Strength training greatly improves sleep quality, aiding in your ability to fall asleep faster, sleep deeper, and wake less often during the night.

8 – Get Heart Healthy

More than 480,000 women die from cardiovascular disease each year, making it the number-one killer of women over the age of 25. Most women don’t realize that pumping iron can also keep your heart pumping. Lifting weights increases your “good” (HDL) cholesterol and decreases your “bad” (LDL) cholesterol. It also lowers your blood pressure.

So at the end all I would like to say to the beautiful creatures “LADIES, LIFT!”

What qualifies as heavy weight for woman is different for all depending on your body strength. But any weight which dos not allow you to lift more than 8-10 reps is heavy.

You want to be a head turner when you walk down the street, want to fit in those jeans, want to be healthy and confident, want to have a relax stress free life ????

The solution to every problem listed above is in simple words weight training. And doing all the boy exercises such as barbell squats, deadlift, bench press barbell curls etc.

So next time when you step in the gym just don’t go for cardio go in the weight section too and show the boys that women lifts weight too…

Trust me guys find women who lift hot….

Well I would any day choose a woman who lifts over a beauty pageant winner…..
